The HOCHTIEF AG has sponsored the first doctoral study for the establishment of the graduate college “Applied Research on Geothermal Energy systems – AGES” by HT PPP Solutions GmbH. With its help a researcher is fully financed for three years. AGES aims at the network of graduates of the universities involved in GZB and strives to lead them, with economically orientated applied science within the time of funding, to their graduation.

The German Streif Baulogistik GmbH supports and supplies infrastructure to equip the GeothermalQuarter of young entrepreneurs. In this incubator graduates of the GeothermalCenter are able to become active and to develop their business ideas for the sectors of civil engineering and energy as young businessmen. The key to success in business lies in a successful  initial phase. Therefore the first steps into autonomy will be enabled within projects of the GeothermalCenter and under the guidance of an experienced business-angel.

The Schlüter Systems company made a donation of 10.000 EURO to support the facilities of the GeothermalCenter. Those funds will be used to build-up scientific staff.

The special field of research on drilling technology was extended by a donation amounting to 40.000 EUR by the company. Geoprobe, Salina, KS./USA.

Enabled by the donation of the German Company ECOS into the field of research on drilling technology the development of a new method for the accelerated installation of geothermal heat exchangers has been started.

The supplier of software applications in geo-informatics ESRI equipped the GeothermalCenter with software of geo-information-systems (GIS).
