GANDOR - Geothermal Academic Network in the Danube Region

The GANDOR-project has been approved 27 June, 2014, by the DLR Project Management Agency on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research, Germany (BMBF).

Collaboration between the founding institutions will provide a new platform for developing and enhancing geothermal energy in the energy sector. The GANDOR network is open for any interested and competent institutions and enterprises.

It is the aim of the GANDOR workshops to improve our knowledge about strengths and weaknesses of the situation of geothermal energy in participating countries by sharing individual experiences. These findings will be the basis of the Joint Action Plan. The sustainability of the GANDOR network will be the result of a successful involvement of potential purchasers like energy suppliers, municipal utilities and cities, housing societies, hotel owners, urban planners and factory owners.
