Laboratory for Applied Geophysics

The Laboratory for Applied Geophysics is attached to the faculty Georesources / Material Engineering of the RWTH Aachen University and is a part of the professorchip of applied geophysics.

The laboratory enables scientists to conduct following research questions and methods:

mobile measurement facilities for bore holes
MSCL (Multi Sensor Core Logger)
measurement of heat conductivities
measurement of heat capacities
seismics equipment
ENVI-MAG (Magnetometer)
resistance measuring device
measurement of the density
measurement of the magnetic sensitivity
