Internship at the GZB

As a Trainee at the GZB

Please note: Since January 2020, the International Geothermal Centre (GZB) is integrated into the Fraunhofer Institution for Energy Infrastructures and Geothermal Systems (FhG IEG).

Students, who are curious about and interested in the research on geothermal energy, have the opportunity to do an internship at the FhG IEG. We offer students from engineering and natural scientific study fields to gain exciting insights and hands-on experience during the assistance in current research projects on geothermal energy.

There is no fixed contingent for internships at the FhG IEG. An employment depends on the current projects and availabe capacity. Your application should should please include the following information:

  • a letter of application describing your motivation for an internship at our research centre,
  • the desired date and duration of the internship,
  • a statement if it is a mandatory internship within the scope of your studies or a voluntary internship,
  • a transcript of records,
  • a CV,
  • if available: proof of practical experience (internship certificate, job reference).
